Basic properties of chemically cured coatings

The so-called chemical curing coating means that a chemical reaction occurs during the film-forming process of the paint. Chemically cured coatings are not necessarily two or more cans of coatings, and some chemically cured coatings are single cans.

The single-pot chemical curing coating does not react at room temperature, but reacts and forms a film under special circumstances such as high temperature or ultraviolet radiation.

Common chemical curing coatings include epoxy resin paint, polyurethane paint, fluorocarbon resin paint, etc.

①Irreversible, the cured paint film is insoluble.

② Solvent resistance is the result of irreversibility.

③ The film forming speed depends on the temperature. For example, some coatings have specific requirements for the minimum film forming temperature. Below this temperature, the paint film will not be cured.

④ Non-thermoplastic, the molecules of the binder will not move in the high cross-linking state, even in the high temperature state, there will be no change, such as the paint film will not become soft under high temperature, etc.

⑤ Strict recoating interval. Recoating between coats must be done before curing is complete. Coated surfaces that have reached a fully cured level must be brushed before the next coat of paint can be applied.
